Palma Nova is located on the south west coast of Majorca, next to Palma the capital of Majorca. Together with Magaluf, Palma Nova is the most popular tourist town on the island. There are 3 beaches along the Palma Nova holiday strip, called Es Carregador, Playa de Palma Nova and Son Maties. All of the 3 beaches run along the promenade and have Blue Flag status. Palma Nova is divided from Magaluf by a rocky headland, but in essence the resorts of Magaluf and Palma Nova beach are basically merged and there is a wide range of accommodation to suit all needs. Palma Nova is the quieter section of this well developed beach resort, more suited to families.
